July 2008 * THANK YOU for visiting this site! It's nice for you to drop by...RACHEL'S are in "deep hibernation" right now but we're all still sharing the same practice space, dog walks, bass amps etc.
So - no news regarding albums or tour!
However - our close friend and longtime collaborator GREG KING has completed a film that we're very excited about. "ROTATING MIRROR" is a 50 minute document of life in NYC, Louisville, and in between... We provided the score (some new stuff, some archive material and a few soundpieces)
The release date is JULY 8th (08) * there will be a link right here________ when we have the actual DVDS in hand! More very soon.
PS: We will post a few NEW pieces from the soundtrack on this site to celebrate the release day!
Check out this recent WNYC broadcast (with the amazing John Schaefer!)
PS: Anyone seen "Hancock" yet? Just curious.

UPDATE FROM May and June 2007
Hello!
This is the home page for the band Rachel's...thanks for dropping by >>
We live in Louisville, NYC, Chicago and Philadelphia. We like dogs and cats.
We aren't touring right now but we are working away in our secret basement lair. Recently we've recorded a few songs for our friend Greg King's film and this August we'll be part of THE SITI COMPANY 15th Anniversary celebration in Saratoga Springs, NY. This won't be a concert by the band - but we will be playing live with the students that attend this actor/training workshop.
For more info on SITI > http://www.siti.org/
We've been working with these fine folks since 2001 - and they used some new music of ours in their recent play Hotel Cassiopeia. The next performance will be at the Next Wave Festival (Brooklyn Academy of Music) October 2007. Our bro Greg made the films for this show as well!
